O'Neill Blueprint Chest Zip Steamer 3/2 - Marine

O'Neill's new Blueprint series marks an evolution of a continuing legacy of innovation, with quality features and high tech construction that strives to integrate more sustainable materials without compromise of performance and durability. These include recycled yarns, water based solvent free lamination, and neoprene made of a combination of recycled tyres, limestone and recycled oyster shells.

Recycled and Sustainable Materials

Every Blueprint, Pyscho Tech, Hyperfreak Fire and Hyperfreak steamer saves more than 0.5 kg of harmful plastic from potentially polluting the world’s living oceans. O’Neill use recycled ocean oyster shells in place of calcium carbonate powder which comprises approximately 10% of the neoprene.

Eco Carbon Black - Carbon Black is one of the key ingredients in neoprene. It can now be carbonized from scrap rubber tyres using high heat to extract.

Dope dyed yarn - To save tremendous amounts of water whilst also reducing energy consumption and water pollution, O’Neill use a dope dyeing process that infuses colour pigment into the fibre filaments before being spun into yarn

Limestone neoprene - O’Neill have used limestone since 1996 to replace petrochemicals in neoprene. Limestone comes from nature and has less environmental impact.

Aqua Alpha Solvent Free Lamination - O’Neill worked with key a manufacturing partner to develop a non-solvent based lamination glue called Aqua-Alpha which bonds the wetsuit’s lining to the internal foam layer

Chest Zip - The O’Neill FUZE Chest Zip uses a free-floating zipper panel and anti-flush barrier with drain hole to keep you dry and feeling loose
